When inflating your weather balloon with helium, you should NEVER try to hook up directly to the helium tank.
Regulators are required to take the pressure (~2000psi) coming directly from the tank, and “regulate” it down to something much more manageable, typically in the ~50 psi range, so you can safely inflate your weather balloon.

This is the exact helium inflation regulator that we use on our own launches.
Some more expensive models have pressure gauges and other unnecessary options.
Available with black titl nozzle or without the nozzle. Black tilt nozzle not required if you are hooking it up to the Launch WIth Us “Quick Fill Inflation System”, which uses a 1/4” NPT adapter to attach to the regulator.
